Huster Trade Sites

Process

How a website project works

Six stages, each with something for you to approve, planned around a working contractor's week.

1. Brief and quote

You send the quote form with your trade, your towns, your current site and how estimate requests reach you now. We reply with questions or a written quote listing the pages, the form, what we need from you and a target launch date. Nothing starts until you accept it.

2. Site map

We draw a site map like the ones on the samples page, plus a grid of which services get a page in which towns. This is the cheapest point to change anything, so it's worth a close look. You can mark it up on paper and send a photo.

3. Design

We design the home page and one service page with your logo, colors and job photos, on a phone and on a desktop. You tell us what to change, and we revise before building the rest.

4. Build and content

We build the full site on a private preview address, write or edit the text, sort your photos into the gallery, and set up the editor for adding new jobs.

5. Form tests

We send test estimate requests from several phones and check that every one reaches you, with photos attached and the right town tagged. You send a few yourself from the truck. We also check page speed on an ordinary mobile connection.

6. Launch and handover

We connect your domain, set up redirects from any old pages, submit the site map to search engines and confirm the form works on the live site. You get every login and a short guide to adding jobs and editing pages.

What sets the pace

Most delays come from photos and text, and busy season makes both harder. If you're short on time, we can plan a smaller first launch with the home page, the main services and the estimate form, then add town and project pages when things slow down. Tell us your busy months in the brief and we'll schedule the parts that need your time around them.
