Start from the jobs
A trade website works best when it's planned around the work you want to win. An electrician who wants more panel upgrades and EV charger installs needs pages for those jobs that answer the questions homeowners ask: does my house need a new panel, will the utility need to be involved, how long will the power be off. Pages for work you'd rather not take can be left off, or kept short so they don't pull in calls you'll turn down.
Pages most trade sites need
| Page | What it does | What we need from you |
|---|---|---|
| Home | Says what you do, where, and how to ask for an estimate | Your main services and the towns you cover |
| Service pages | One page per job type, so each can be found in search | A few notes on each job and the questions people ask about it |
| Service-area pages | One page per town or region you want work in | Your town list, and what's different about working in each |
| Projects | Finished jobs with photos, a town and a short write-up | Photos and a line or two on each job |
| Estimate request | A step-by-step form that collects what you need to price the job | The questions you ask on the phone |
| About and licensing | Who runs the business, plus license and insurance details | Your license number and anything you want to say about the crew |
Built for a phone in a driveway
Most people looking for a contractor are on a phone, often standing in front of the problem: a leak, a dead circuit, a yard full of dirt. We keep pages light so they load on a weak signal, put the estimate button where a thumb can reach it on every page, and make sure photos open full screen. We test the main pages on ordinary phones before launch.
What homeowners look for
Before they ask for a price, most homeowners want three things answered: are you licensed, have you done this kind of job before, and do you work in their town. We put the license number where your state or trade requires it, link each service page to matching projects, and make the service area obvious from the first screen. Real photos of your own trucks, crew and finished work do more here than any stock image.
Local search
Every page gets a clear title and description, your business details are marked up for search engines, and town pages are linked from the pages that matter. We check that your name, phone number and service area match your Google Business Profile, because a mismatch confuses both customers and search engines.
After launch
You get every login: domain, hosting and site editor. We show you how to add projects and change services. If you'd rather hand updates to us, that's quoted separately, and you can stop at any time.
Questions
Can you rebuild the site I have now?
Yes. We list the pages that bring in visits, keep their addresses or redirect them, and move over any text and photos worth keeping. Your old site stays live until the new one is ready.
Do you write the text?
If you want us to. Most contractors prefer to talk for twenty minutes about each service, and we write the pages from that, in plain words, for your approval.
